Kitchen Gets Stylish Update with Brushed Gold Accents in York, PA

These empty nesters were ready for a complete kitchen renovation. Because of space restraints we kept a similar footprint but added a coffee bar area where a small desk workstation was once located and pushed back and extended the peninsula. The bulkheads were removed and replaced with cabinetry which extends to the ceiling creating an appearance of a larger space and adds additional cabinetry storage. A large pantry area was added as well.

Our Remodeling Methods

Fabuwood’s, Allure Galaxy cabinetry in a Nickel grey finish was selected throughout the entire kitchen and paired with Berenson’s Contemporary Advantage One, Champagne Square Pulls. Rev-A-Shelf’s Blind Corner, wood half-moon, two tier and a Rev-A-Shelf Lazy Susan, wood pie shape pivot, two tier were incorporated. Seeded glass door inserts in the upper cabinets at the coffee bar area were installed.

For the countertop, Emerstone, Alabaster Gold, was installed with square eased edge. It has a soft white background with a moderate amount of soft gold veining throughout the entire slab. For the backsplash we installed a 2.5x5 glossy gray tile and in the coffee bar area we used a Bati Orient glass mosaic glass tile in multi gray, white and beiges as an accent wall. (2) Stiffel Florio 5" Wide Warm Gold Modern Mini Pendants were installed over the over peninsula and a Possini Euro Layne 19" Wide Warm Antique Gold Pendant Light was installed in the dinette area. An Elkay 33" low divide, quartz Greige 60/40 bowl with matching basket strainers, ELGDULB3322GR0 was selected. A Kohler 23766-2MB Gold-Toned Pull Down Touchless faucet and a Moen Brushed Gold Soap Dispenser - S3947BG were installed as well. Also included in the renovation was a new GE Café Appliance kitchen package. All appliances were upgraded with stylish Café’s brushed bronze hardware handles. For the flooring Latitude Collection Park City, Color Wintry, in 1/2" engineered hardwood, kitchen area, laundry, closet, hallway and powder room was installed.

The kitchen and surrounding walls were painted with Sherwin Williams, Moderne White SW #6168
