Modernized Master Bathroom in Springwood

Our returning York clients wished to remodel their master bathroom with a goal of lightening up the room and giving it a sleek modern feel.

We began our bathroom remodeling service by demoing the original bathroom, including removing the existing outdated bulkhead above the vanity, wallpaper removal and eliminating the crown molding. This opened up the room and allowed for additional wall space.

The original ceramic tile flooring was removed and replaced with Karndean’s luxury vinyl planks in the Glacier Oak selection. The original garden tub with a ceramic tile platform was removed and replaced with an Interquatic, Cayman White, Oval Free Standing Bathtub. The freestanding tub was positioned on an angle in the corner of the bathroom, a Mellita chandelier with multiple tiers of oversized etched glass disks with matte black accents gracefully hangs above the freestanding tub. The glass disks resemble delicate Capiz shells found in nature. The matte black Delta, Ara floor mount tub filler tied in together beautifully with the light fixture above. We installed Moen’s bath accessories in Matte Black, Moen CSI BP1808BL Triva single post toilet tissue holder, CSI BP1886BL Triva towel bars and CSI BP 1803BL Triva single robe hooks.

The existing ceramic tile shower was removed and replaced with floor to ceiling Precious 12x24 Calacatta, matte wall tile. Precious Herringbone Calacatta, matte tile was installed on the shower floor and in the back of the 12x20” niche. Emerstone’s Borghini Silver Quartz, which features bold veins of smoky grey streaming through a bright white surface was used to cap the shower curb, corner bench seat and the shower’s half wall. This added detail and brought the room together as the vanity tops were also Borghini Silver Quartz. Two Kohler White Ladena 12"x18" undermount rectangle lav sinks were installed in the countertops.

The shower was finished with Moen’s Matte Black Eco-Performance handheld shower, Moen’s Rizon matte black Posi-Temp shower lever, and a Kohler Parallel matte black showerhead. The shower was enclosed with a frameless clear glass shower door with a matte black double ladder handle and hardware. A Schluter floral designed drain cover in matte black was incorporated as well.

Tucked off the side of the bathroom is a separate water closet. The water closet contains the new Kohler Corbelle white skirted toilet bowl and tank. The tank lever was accented in matte black to incorporate the matte black finishes throughout the remainder of the bathroom. We updated the fan with a new Panasonic Model: FV-0510VSL1 with light/light combo.

All of the walls were freshly painted in Sherwin Williams color #6204 - Sea Salt with bright white glossy trim paint.
