Modernized Kitchen Make Over in Felton, PA

As recent Felton home buyers, our clients knew they wanted to remodel this kitchen space when they purchased the home . They had a plan to modernize their kitchen while also highlighting their personalities and style. Convenience, practicality and high quality were all requirements of their new kitchen. We were happy to partner with them to make this become their reality.

We began with removing all the existing stained cabinets, old Formica countertops, linoleum flooring, and existing appliances. A wall covered with a stone veneer, which housed a fireplace with a stone platform was then removed between the kitchen and family room. Removal of the wall and fireplace opened up the space and made room for their new peninsula. The peninsula is made up of Fabuwood’s Allure, Galaxy, Timber cabinetry. A 21” RevAShelf Pull-Out Drawer was installed in the middle cabinet for extra organization in this area. Three large single brushed gold globe pendant lights overhang the peninsula. The overhang on all three sides of the peninsula allows for additional seating for guests.

The kitchen features Fabuwood’s Allure, Galaxy, Linen cabinetry around the perimeter, highlighting Berenson’s Hearthstone, Brushed Gold knobs and pulls. Emerstone Calacata Harmony Quartz countertops with grey and gold veining fits perfectly with the brushed gold fixtures throughout the kitchen. The backsplash features 1” Jeffrey Court Hexagon Mosaic tile in the Matte-Welded color with Cocoa Flexcolor grout. The porcelain tile, glazed in a dark, cool brown metallic color made a stunning background for Fabuwood’s Signature 36" Range Hood in Linen with a custom Timber trim. Mannington’s Adura Flex, Maiden’s Vail 12x24 luxury vinyl floor tiles blend traditional styles with a new sense of sophistication. The subtle sand like visual of the floor tile offsets the bold color of the backsplash tile.

Ruvati’s 30” single bowl, stainless steel workstation sink from their Veniso collection was installed, centered under the kitchen window. This sink features an offset drain so the sink is reversable and allows more space in the cabinet below. The sink doubles as a workstation with a built-in ledge complete with a solid wood cutting board and dish drying foldable rack. All the prep work can now be done over the sink keeping countertops free of mess! Moen’s Nio smart faucet also makes life easier in the kitchen with its four unique methods of control; Voice, App, Hands-Free, or Manual. Its matte black finish, paired with the matching Moen soap dispenser offers a perfect component to a modern feel.

A custom Fabuwood tall appliance cabinet was built for the client and houses a state-of-the-art coffee/expresso maker, and microwave oven. The fully automatic coffee maker houses three bean containers so the client can have individual coffee enjoyment at the push of a button. The built-in 24” speed oven is a network enabled Wi-Fi appliance. It offers a rapid reheat and keep warm setting, as well as an easy clean cavity with linen-weave pattern. This speed oven can broil, bake, roast, microwave, and defrost.

Dimmable under cabinet lighting was installed around the perimeter of the kitchen. Additional high hat recessed lights were strategically placed to optimize overhead lighting. Additional RevAShelf accessories were installed, such as (2) two - 2 tier spice rack organizers, (2) two – 21” Pull Out Soft Close shelves, (1) one – 38” Half Moon Wood, 2 shelf, Pivot and Slide Lazy Susan, and (1) Soft Close Pull-Out Trash/Recycle can. Each accessory offers improved storage and organization capabilities in their new kitchen.
