What is a Mid-Sized Kitchen?
Mid-size kitchens are slightly bigger than small kitchen, around 12′ x 16′ and usually have a small island (up to 5 feet x 3 feet). They have between 18 and 20 cabinets, 65sq ft of countertop space and 35sq ft of backsplash tile. The larger footprint means we can usually fit a tall pantry cabinet into the design as well.

Large Sized Kitchen Remodeling Costs
What is a Large Kitchen?
Large size kitchens vary a lot in their layout and design. For this cost guide, we are assuming a kitchen that is 16’x20′, with around 25 cabinets, 75 sq. ft. of countertop space and 45 sq. ft. of backsplash tile. They have larger islands and often a separate buffet area or coffee bar area for extra storage and counter space.
